Ever wondered how it is like to be one of the bad guys in a space shooting game? Worry not, announcing the start of development of Evil Space Fighter – a space shooter game where you get to play as one of the many, many bad guys attacking the defenders of the universe.
This game is a different take on the classic space shooter genre – the following are some of the ideas we hope to implement within the game –
play as a part of the Evil Space Corporation, whose motto is “Making the universe a worse place”
Story mode where you start as a lowly pilot in Evil Space Corporation and may rise to the highest ranks as the game progressess.
Fight not as the overpowered ship that takes down multiple evil spaceships, but as one of the evil spaceships themselves
Get promoted and rise through the ranks of the Evil Space Corporation – or not.
Multiple spaceships to choose from (upon promotion amd continued survival)
Bravely face the enemy or cower behind colleagues – your choice!
Play as the good guys (unlocked upon story mode completion).
Please note – the game is still in design phase, and the ideas may be refined/altered in the final.
The game is currently under development for the PC Platform. Keep following this site for more updates on the same, as well as to know further details of the game.
It gives me great pleasure to announce the launch of Kanchey. Kanchey can be downloaded for iPads from the App Store.
A little bit about Kanchey –
‘Kanchey’ is Hindi for marbles. The game is based on a street game played in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and other South Asian countries. Simply put, the game involves using your striker Kancha (singular for marble) to get other Kanchey to fall in the hole.
The game has three modes – Single Player Challenge Mode, Local Multiplayer and Online Multiplayer. It also allows you to customize your striker Kancha, using unlocks from the Single Player Mode.
A little bit more about the modes –
Single Player Challenge Mode –
This mode allows you to hone your skills. The Kanchey are arranged in a pattern, your task is to get all of them to fall into the hole. If you can do this within a fixed number of moves, and without getting your striker into a hole, you get the highest possible rating for the level.
Local Multiplayer –
Two friends can play on the same iPad! Get the most Kanchey into the hole, without getting any striker into it to win. Use your own striker to block opponent or mess with opponent’s plans.
Online Multiplayer –
Similar to local, but can be played online.
Customize Kanchey –
Allows customization of Kanchey. Different appearances can be unlocked by playing the Single Player Challenge Mode.
The following are a few screenshots of Kanchey. They illustrate the game in progress, and the various features of it.
Please note – these are works in progress, and the final game may vary from the screenshots seen here.
Here is a screenshot of the game itself –
The Main Menu – all the basic game options can be accessed from here. It also allows for actions such as restoring purchases, opening a help menu etc. The help menu provides a small description of the game in general as well as details on each of the game modes, in case the player feels the need for the same.
The single player challenge mode screen lets you see which levels you have unlocked and what is your star rating in each of them. You can improve your rating or try to unlock more levels from this screen.
The single player challenge mode requires you to get all the Kanchey (other than your own) into the hole. If you can pull it off within the limited moves without getting your own Kancha into the hole, you get more stars in the rating.
This is the customize menu. You can customize the look of your Kancha by unlocking and using the various patterns and setting the colour available here.
Hoping you liked the screenshots of Kanchey. Keep checking here to find the latest updates on the game.
You may want to know about the various modes that the game will support. Well, here it is! Keep in mind that they are still under construction, and may not make it into the final game or may vary from what is described here.
Single Player – Sitting alone on a bus stop, at home or at school/work? No worries this mode is for perfecting your skills. Use your strategy and swiping skills to shoot the Kanchey (marbles) into the hole – while keeping your striker Kancha (marble) out of the hole. Do it in as less turns as possible to gain a better rating.
Local Multiplayer – Sitting with your friend or sibling and want to play Kanchey? Yup, this mode allows two people to play against each other on the same iPad. Take turns on the same iPad to see who wins this game of strategy and skill.
Online Multiplayer – Want to play with your near and dear ones, but they are not in the same place against you? Or do you feel you have the skills to defeat new opponents? You can play with your friends, as well as challenge strangers in the online mode. Similar to the local multiplayer, you and your opponent can play against each other on different iPads, while being in different places! The online mode requires you to be connected to the internet and a free Game Center account.
Excited yet? If not, keep watching this spot for new updates. In case you have any queries, feel free to leave a message using the contact page.
The word Kanchey is a plural of Kancha – which denotes a glass marble. Also known as Gulli, Antak etc. it is a street game played in countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh etc. It is a South Asian game of Marbles. It is mostly played outdoors on the ground.
The rules of the game vary, but most variations involve getting Kanchey into a hole in the ground. The player to get more Kanchey into the hole wins.
The iPad game Kanchey also captures the spirit of the street game. It involves shooting Kanchey into holes to score points and to beat opponents.
The prototype of the game is being prepared, and there will soon be an update on that.
